WHAT DO YOU DO?

An elder millennial nostalgia + snark themed, craft obsessed, snarky, bookish fever dream covered in rainbows? Yeah...honestly it’s not far off from the reality in here. We are a DIY craft bar, makerspace, and gift shop aimed toward creating a community space and project bar for adults who love leaning into creating things that spark joy, finding new hobbies, learning new skills, and spending time with our favorite humans while finding new ones who’s vibe matches ours.

Hi there!
I am announcing the official opening of The Glitter Factory DSM and we can't wait for you to visit! My name is Britney Brown and I'm the creator of The Glitter Factory - a brand new makerspace and DIY Project bar located in Downtown Des Moines. I grew up in Des Moines, left for several years with my military husband and moved back in 2014 to start and raise my family and specifically to grow my businesses in my favorite city! I have been a small business owner in the metro for the last 10 years and am so excited to bring a "creative third space" environment to the Des Moines area that is rooted in community, creative personal growth and development, and having an incredible space for meeting, hosting parties, hosting events, and being a safe space for neurodivergent humans. I have built a robust social media following with my company, Imperfect Inspiration and I'm excited to see how my global community can be blended with helping the community I adore in real life here at the Glitter Factory. I am so excited to share more about my story, my vision, my work in the neurodivergent community, and the things I want to bring to our incredible city! Please feel free to share with any agencies or humans who you think may be interested in what I'm doing or my story. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to hear more about our adventures, I can't wait to show you more.
